Blizzard just released their OS X native installer for Starcraft. This company rocks!!! Great work Blizzard, thanks for the continued support. Best of luck with World of Warcraft.

It's about time they released this installer. I've bene having issues installing it under classic and even on my older machine booting back into OS 9 and trying to install it. I can finally get back to my addiction called StarCraft.

In my opinion, you should be a tad more grateful. StarCraft is old. It was old when OS X 10.0 was released. The fact that they are supporting it on OS X is great, the fact that they released an installer than runs in OS X natively is stunning.

Anyone else getting weird mouse control issues in games? The mouse seems fine on the menus and stuff but once in the game I lose all control. Just seems to jump around so much, it's unplayable.

Strangely, the mouse problems only occur when I run the game full screen. Windowed, the cursor behaves as expected.

Try turning off animated unit portraits. That might help.

Hey... I went back to 10.3 today and the animations in the installer are smooth as silk.
This means its time to set up my shrine to Blizzard.

I've turned off unit animations and it made no difference. But I did find that if I went back to full screen after minimizing it, the mouse worked fine. However, it seems to be in 640x480 then, instead of the 1024x768 it's supposed to be in. But that's a small price to pay for usability.

There's nothing quite like StarCraft for durability in computer gaming. It is the one game that I keep coming back to over, and over, and over, and

What? The game has always been 640x480. It's never been rendered at 1024x768.

Huh. Well, it just looks worse after minimization than it did before. But whatever. I still haven't found the cause of the problem, or a solution. Maximizing after minimizing doesn't do anything now. So I still have to play in a window to get acceptable behavior.
