Whew. Haven't seen that one before. Don't ever do that in front of a camera, unless you want millions of people to see it. Looks like it must be from the mid-1990s, judging from his appearance.

Especially a finger from the 90's.

That's great. How can you not like that?

Doesn't hold a candle to my all-time favorite one-finger salute:

Some 'o you Repubs are so accustomed to launching into righteous indignation about this 'n that, that you apparently think everyone else is doing the same.

None of that here, in fact I love to see a born-again type loosen up now and then, including W.

The point of the post, as indicated or at least hinted at in the text of the URL, was to give you all a preview of George's response to losing the election next week.

Or if you prefer, what he's been doing to the country for the last 4 years.

Next week we're returning the gesture.

Am I the only one who remembers the right's moral indignation at Kerry having used a cuss-word on a ski slope some months ago?

No, but that doesn't mean that this thread is justified. Unlike Kerry, Bush hasn't made a single moral, political, or military mistake since the mid-1990's. How many people can say that???

I actually don't think this should be an issue. Had he been president at the time, sure, It would've bothered me.

But no wonder they hardly ever let him do interviews or press conferences.

"The Bombing will commence in 5 minutes." --Ronald reagan.

He was way funnier.

Actually, my favorite part of this Bush clip is his nervous laughter after flipping the bird. Kinda like "was that funny, or did I just screw up?"

When a true genius appears in the world you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. -- Jonathan Swift.

I agree with you about RR.

The difference here is that Bush surveyed his audience as a 'laugh barometer.' Kerry does the campaign equivalent of flip flopping to take advantage of the shifting political winds.

You, obviously, prefer the latter.

EDIT: Edited to help chris v better understand the analogy.

Kerry flipped of the camera guy too? Or did you bring him into this for no good reason at all? You know Clinton got a blow job, don't you? Did you know that LBJ was a Soviet Jew?

I'm almost certain you understood my meaning as well as the pertinence of my comment to the thread topic as well as to the issue we face next week...the suitability of George Bush or John Kerry, not LBJ or WJC.

Sorry, I'm feeling serious today...it will pass soon, hopefully.

That wasn't because he used a cuss word, it was because he cussed out one of his Secret Service Agents and blamed the agent because Kerry lost his balance. Cheney was also met with some moral indignation lately for using a cuss word. But at least he wasn't cussing out a subordinate employee.

Anyway, to Bush for being a human being with a sense of humor. If only Kerry would show that side a bit more. Surely he can't really be like Lurch in private?

The funniest part was just how proud he looked afterwards, like a petulant 5 year old who just did something his mom told him not to. Great guy to have in charge of stuff.

Oh yeah and NICE zinger bluesky... hehehehe.
