I've been wondering if there is a technique that will allow you to disable a feature used by Mac OS 9.x. While using some applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator you have a wide open space beside the windows. Sometimes while working in the apps I will acidently click the desktop and this switches me back to the finder app. Is there a way I can make it so that it disables this feature so it doesn't switch back to finder and instead just stays within Photoshop? Thanks for any help!

Well nevermind I figured it out finally. I just went to the control panels and went to General and unchecked show desktop in background. Works like a charm..

If you really have any "charms" that work that well I'll pay good money!
