I wonder what cool twist Apple could bring to the world of WI-FI enabled players.

Of course the iPhone is already going to be a wi-fi enabled iPod, so we knew Apple was going to do something like this. I think the "killer app" is not wireless music sharing, but rather previewing and purchasing things from the iTunes Store right from your iPod.

That would be cool. iTunes already lets you copy purchased songs from an iPod to an authorized computer. Wouldn't be too much of a stretch for it to do so automatically once you plug in a 6G iPod with newly purchased songs.
Automatic downloading of podcasts as soon as they're available would be hella cool too.
Another cool use of the wifi would be specially-tailored dashboard widgets, if the 6G ran a similar OS X as the iPhone. You could download additional ones for free (or not) from the iTunes store, once they've passed some sort of certification from Apple. For example, you could check the forecast, and it would cache it so you can still see it when not within range of an available network.

Hey, with wi-fi, think some iPod games will become multi-player? For example, if two people are near each other, and both have Texas Hold Em on their iPods, think they can play against each other? That would be a neat use of Wi-Fi
