I loved the original one.. this kinda looks dumb in comparison but the keyboard is cool in a way.
I really still love the idea of a mini computer that small. if it started at less then $700 ($599 maybe) it'd be an awesome machine.. think of it as tablet PC done right.
But it'll probably cost more than some full size laptops, and that's where it becomes counterproductive.

I think it's way cool, actually. Pity that Apple didn't release something like this, because I could imagine there being a bigger market for devices like this than for oversized PDAs such as the HP iPaq, since this has a full OS and can be an office machine for executives with too much money.

I think it looks slightly less ugly than the first one they showed. Wasn't the price estimate for the first one $1200 or something?

I think the idea is VERY cool, but unfortunately it would fail due to it being too expensive (If it's over $1000, most people would rather have a REAL keyboard, screen, CD/DVD drive etc.)
It all comes down to money. If Apple could come out with something like this for $550 with a 800 Mhz G3, 20GB HD, etc. etc. it would sell, but at the $1200 range.
It's a niche market. PDA sales are faltering and I think Apple should stay away from this until they see the Wintel side taking off.
Looking back, THANK GOD Apple didn't bother trying to make a tablet PC. They have been tanking.

The thing is it's a GREAT idea. The downside is price.
If OQO could stick enough capital in to take a loss JUST long enough to get to mass production status where the price was profitable they'd change the market...
Well tablet market at least.
They won't. There's a 9 out of 10 chance on this one.. too bad... or maybe not?
It seems like the perfect tablet. Unlike the larger tablets it can fit in your pocket, has a slick little keyboard.. and is more like a very much oversized sidekick
something like this I'd love.. it's just big enough to be used as a small ebook... and yet if you sync all your docs and goodies to it, you can plug a full sized monitor and whatnot in and have a full size comp ^_^
Whereas on the current fullsized tablets, docking is redundant.
