I'm enjoying going back to watching many of the films I really liked as a kid just to see how they play as an adult...

I've gone back and watched:

- The Supermans
- Star Wars (who hasn't?)
- The Neverending Story
- Space Camp
- The Labyrinth
- Tron
- The Indiana Jones movies
- The Short Circuit movies
- Ghostbusters
- The Back to the Futures
- Transformers, the Movie
- The Princess Bride
- War Games

I want to watch the Goonies again, that is on my list.

I'm having a hard time remembering other movies I liked that I think I could find on DVD. I have a feeling that if some of these titles were listed, that would jog my memory. I'm also curious to know what sort of movies you liked as a kid, for all of you 80s babies out there...

I didn't know that there was a G.I. Joe movie... hmmm...

Muppet Movies I already have because my wife loves them. My favorite as a kid was the Great Muppet Caper. I wish the Muppets would come back. I would have liked to have seen one in the new Transformers movie just because I got sick of all the CGI.

Brewster's Millions is a great movie.

Yeah, I'm into Short Circuit hardcore. I don't know how I could have forgotten to add this to my list! I used to quote that movie all the time as a kid:

"Beautiful stars, better see!"

"Johnny5 is alive!"

"Hey laser lips, your mother was a snowblower"

"No see ****, where see shit?"

I also loved the scene where J5 lasered off that guy's pants, and where he was disco dancing with Stephanie. I think Stephanie wanted to kiss him. The scene where he pwned the other robots was cool too.

Number 5: "Error! Grasshopper is disassemble. Reassemble!"
Stefanie: "Huh?"
Number 5: "Reassemble."
Stefanie: "I can't reassemble him. You squashed him. He's dead."
Number 5: "Dead?"
Stefanie: "Right, dead, as a doornail."
Number 5: "Reassemble Stefanie. Reassemble."
Stefanie: "I know you don't understand. But, when you're dead, you're dead. That's just the way it is."
Number 5: "Squash... dead... disassemble... dead Disassemble!!! Dead!!!"
Stefanie: "Hey, slow down."
Number 5: "No disassemble!"

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

WTF is wrong with you guys? Fast Times At Ridgemont High, yo!

Also: Krull, Weird Science, The Wall, Bad Boys, The Thing, Escape From New York, Blade Runner, Aliens, Stand By Me, Predator, Platoon...

Well, not all of those are kid movies, though.

I'm glad someone mentioned Gremlins. I love Gremlins. I've rewatched the original Transformers movie plenty thanks to the new collectors DVD version. My mom once told me the very first movie I ever watched was Labyrinth. That movie is incredible.
If I had a signature, it would be better than yours.

Awesome thread besson.

I'm going to have to actually take some time out and make a decent list. There are just so many 80s movies I love that are classic. And it's too early to think properly.
