So was the keynote everything or should we expect more in the coming days?

I suspect we'll hear more (about 10.5, iLife, possibly Mac updates) in the coming days. As for the keynote... the iPhone was quite enough for one event (there was only time for it and Apple TV anyway). I'm still blown away.

I hope we will see some Mac updates. I guess new diplays are out of the question.

Ditto. I wanted to replace Office, but I need a spreadsheet for work. :/

Apple needs to make an announcement about when we'll hear about Leopard. Really, I don't like being left in the dark like this.

A phone. Terrific. Colour me whelmed.

Will it be A(pple)WSF next year?

Maybe Apple are going to stop making computers.

I was disappointed, I also was expecting something else, like another preview od OS 10.5...
I had guessed that the 8-core wouldn't come up, but if they did, I wouldn't be disapointed

BTW, olePigeon, if you need to replace Office, you could try neoOffice, (not a *true* replacement in terms of overall functionality, but a start...)

Reminds me of the guy on some late night show a few years back who caught a bullet in his teeth, and I can't even remember his name. What was his name? My God, he caught a bullet in his teeth and I can't remember his name.

What the heck does it take to impress people now-a-days?

My stupid iPhone game: Nesen Probe, it's rather old, annoying and pointless, but it's free.
Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.

yeah but someone told me that the guy that was going to show up yesterday, was going to catch a bullet with his teeth while juggling chaisaws and jumping from a canon
that's why I wasn't impressed.
an 8-core and OS X 10.5 are (IMHO) more impressive than two gadgets.

The eternal "once you buy, it's already outdated" truth aside, I really wanted just a little word on if there were going to be updates to the iMac line. Mainly because my luck dictates that I will buy, then 11 days after I do, the upgraded iMacs with the new iLife stealth into the Apple Store.

An 8-core Mac Pro is way less interesting than the iPhone. Not even the same ballpark. We can determine this just from the fact that people know exactly what an 8-core Mac Pro will be like — pretty much the same as the current Mac Pro only with four more cores.

Leopard will have to really be something in order to be more impressive than the iPhone to anybody but OS geeks.

I dropped NeoOffice when I realized that when typing, I couldn't ctrl-click on a word and have an instant thesaurus. I had to go through menus galore. Silly, but that one issue drove me away more than anything else.

I'm hoping for a "One more thing..." special presentation next week.

to Chuckit: I would prefer an 8-core and the OS and apps that would use the 8-core, these would be more usefull for my work, the iPhone for me, would only be used for fun, and unfortunatelly fun doens't pay my family's meals
That's why I wasn't also interested in the appleTV... I'll have fun when I'm more confortable with my gains

I think I expressed wrongly, I was impressed, but not interested.
I was especially impressed by the multi-touch screen, very slick!

to Jawbone54: I didn't realise that... I never use thesaurus, so I never had that prob.
