So, it's easy enough to take a photo on the iPhone, and later dump it into iPhoto and/or use it as a contact photo. Well, I was editing a contact on the phone, and just pushed "add Photo", took a pic of my friend, and it assigned it to his contact. It's not available in my picture browser, but it comes up when my friend calls. Anyone know how to pull that photo out? It also shows up now in my address book on my mac, but I can't figure out how to pull it from there also. (it's a tiny thumbnail in address book) It's a pretty funny shot that I want.

When you open the camera app, and click the 2 squares at the bottom, the pic doesn't show up there? Have you tried looking for it in photos? That's where all of mine have ended up. . . but then again, maybe you saved it to the contact right after taking it? I.E not saving it to the camera first. . . . That might cause a problem. . .

Odd. Just tried it out and it doesn't look like you can get those photos off the iPhone. Just take your contact photos in the camera app and assign them that way.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

If you click "edit" on the contact's entry in Address Book and then double click inside their picture, it will appear as a somewhat bigger version, which you can copy with command-C. But it's a far cry from full-resolution.
