I remember reading somewhere that ADC members get a (one-time?) discount on Apple hardware. I know the sign-up for the ADC membership costs something like 100 dollars, but if I could save anything above 100 dollars, it would be worth it to sign up.
Does anyone know where to go to sign up? How much could I expect to save with this and a K-12 discount?

Here are all the Developer Levels in the program. I don't think you get a hardware discount with the student package (but you can get Web Objects for $99!). And the next level up is Select, which costs $500 to join. And that $500 is more than the discount you'd get on hardware...

Actually, the student level does include one lifetime discount. Here's a quote from the Student Program FAQ:
Q. What is the Hardware discount?
A. ADC Student Members are eligible to receive a once-per-lifetime discount (approximately 20%) off the retail price on a single system of their choice. It will not show up as an asset in your ADC account. This offer is currently available in the U.S, Canada, Australia, and certain European countries (with online Apple Stores) only. For instructions on how to obtain your discount, please check out our Student Hardware Discount page. Make sure you follow the instructions exactly.

Student Developers get a once-in-a-lifetime hardware discount key, I *think*.
Select Developers get 1 Hardware Discount UPON RENEWAL (second year).
Premier Developers get 1 Hardware Discount.
