So now that my Cube is sporting it's nifty new Powerlogix G4/800, I have a G4 450 with no purpose in life.

In the other room, I have a 7500 that's ready for it's next upgrade. Is there any way to pair these 2 up?

Nuts. I'm going to check around a little further on this, but if you're right, I'll probably take you up on that offer.

I wouldn't take it for 20 when you can get about $80 for it flogging it on ebay.

I speak from experience

sonnettech has a tempo trio PCI card to upgrade the older MACs. It seems to be ok. Why not keep the 7600 and network it with the cube to use all your Macs ? If your tight on cash Sell the cube as is to someone who appreciates it.

You can use it, since its just a zif, go out and buy a zif carrier adapter
Example:
http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_It...em=XLRGCZIFMPE
or
http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_It...em=XLRGCZIFMPE
(just make sure the card has OSX support, both the cards above do support OSX)

Nice idea, but I'm pretty darn sure that the Cube processor isn't a ZIF. The ZIF interface is larger than the mother-daughtercard connection in the Cube, and uses a lever to lock them together, the Cube connection doesn't have that.

The PDF at http://www.daystartechnology.com/dow...rrierZIF_1.pdf
shows a good picture of the adapter, and my G4 card doesn't look like that.

Bummer. Close, but no deal.
