I've set up my company front desk G4 to receive all inbound faxes- I think it's going to work very well to bring them in as PDFs and forward the email instead of managing pieces of paper. It's also easy to set up that same faxmodem as a "shared printer", to allow network faxing from any Panther machine on the network.

Downside is that this also makes that computer a print server for the printers it's hooked up to. That's not terrible, but it doesn't need to be that way either.

Does anyone know a trick to just allow sharing the faxmodem, but not the printers this computer knows about?
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.
