My powerbook's sound works, and it makes the little noise when i adjust it in the menu. It also works in iTunes, but not in safari where pages are supposed to have music...and it doesn't work in Entourage. I've checked all settings in Safari and Entourage, and nothing... In entourage when you test the sound, it still doesn't work. Yes, I've rebooted too...any ideas?

Sound where? On certain web pages or flash files or downloaded audio files? Are they being opened by the Quicktime Plug-in or is Quicktime Player opening? Example of a location where you are having problems? More detail is certainly needed.

No, just stuff like Flash that are supposed to have sound, like at the top of the page here:

If you go there, at the top where it says HOME, PROFILE, REGISTER, etc...doesn't work?

Maybe it just doesn't work in Safari, it works in IE in windows...

Still having this darn problem...here is a flash site that has no sound in safari or firefox..

Anyone know how to "reinstall" my sound card or something?

Well, I just went to this page:

And it plays the video in Safari but no sound.

I have the same problem. I installed Stuffit 10 recently but that's the only clue.
