I have an external HP L1800 LCD for my TiBook, which always used to be recognized as such in the the Displays pref panel. Now, it just shows up as "VGA Display" and only shows 800x600 as a recommended resolution. I can still get it to the correct resolution, but am still curious as to what has changed. When I am booted up in 9 it recognizes the monitor correctly, so i know the problem is not with the monitor.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

-dev

Uncheck "Show modes recommended by display", and click "Detect Displays" again.
