As I have never had a PC, or bought a video card. I have no idea how to compare them.
I am thinking of getting TestDrive Unlimited when it comes out (can run in XP with Bootcamp) however I have no Idea if the GPU in my iMac measures up to what people are saying you need to have it running well.
I have a CoreDuo (2ghz) with a 20" screen, the System Profiler, says the GPU is a ATI Radeon X1600, Ram shouldn't be a prob as it's got 1.5 GB.
People say you need a Ati Radeon 9800? is this some different numbering system they use for retail cards, as a posed to the built in stuff?

I don't know about you GPU, but I think you might want a little more RAM than that for optimum performance.

Didn't think that RAM would be the problem. As the Min spec is 256, and most of the tests people did with the (now expired) demo where with 1GB.

The x1600 is significantly better than the 9800, they switched numbering schemes for no reason. The 9800 is about 3years old at this point. The 1.5gb should be enough.

Thanks, This is a truly confusing numbering switch though. Who would think that a card numbered 1xxx could be better than one numbered 9xxx. MAD!
