I've got a 2001 iBook 500 with 600+ RAM. I've been running OS X 10.2 and am trying to up-grade to 10.2.3. I did the stand-alone download (which took over 4 hours). Now, when I try to install it, a message says there's no default application to open it with, and I need to choose an application. But nothing seems to work -- including Stuffit.
If it's relevant, my Appleworks application is from OS 9 -- i.e., I never loaded an OS X version of Appleworks -- although it seems to work fine in OS X, without Classic.
Any ideas? Thanks,

Thanks, Kap, I think that was it. Obvious to you, maybe, but not to meatballs like me.
Clearly, it wasn't the first time I'd tried to download the up-date.
Thanks for your help.
