I am interested in making a bootable CD with DiskWarrior 3.0. I tried using BootCD, but it created a disk image with all the system stuff, with no extra room for me to add the DiskWarrior application. Do I copy the disk image onto the CD-RW first and then add the application, and then burn? Am I being dense? I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm missing something horribly obvious.
Thanks.
Sal

When I used BootCD, it asked me to select what applications I want to include on the Boot CD. Should be doing the same for you

horribly obvious? Like buying the CD from alsoft.com where it comes bootable already?

If this post is in the Lounge forum, it is likely to be my own opinion, and not representative of the position of MacNN.com.

Are you sure it comes as OS X bootable? I've seen a 3.0 copy and it was only OS 9 bootable.

The DW CD that came in the mail that I ordered came with a boot up CD.
They give it to those who pay.
DW is 100% worth it.
Even if the bootup time is dog slow.

DiskWarrior is one App that I can say I paid for, version 2.1 anyway. I wasn't going to shell out more money just to boot it with X. It was OS X bootable? That's cool..but it is verryyyyy slow. Then I thought to myself..how is this giving me a benefit over booting into OS 9 with it. It is of course good for newer Macs which cannot boot into 9.
