I just got my 1GB stick from crucial for my 1.25ghz powerbook and am having trouble getting the screws over the memory slot out. i got one out but the others look like the heads are messed with. is there an alternate way to get to the memory area? if not, i'll go to the hardware store and just try every screw driver till i find out to get the others out.

Are you using a Torx screwdriver?
If not, you'll probably destroy the heads.

They are phillps head screws. If they look like Torx then they are definately really messed up. If you don't have a really small screwdriver just get a set of small ones, shouldn't be more than $5 at a hardware store.

i eventually got them out. the bump from 512 to 1.5GB makes this machine much faster.
