I personally think, regardless of most of the rumors, that there is going to be updates across the board, even if they are minor.

a processor upgrade is an upgrade, but new firewire is a new motherboard.
no?
this may help get me to spend my mac budget in january (one 25% off per year beb�). the dual 500 is 2.5 years old now. dual 1.4 with oodles of firewire bandwidth might just do me, where dual 1.25 couldn't. but the ram spec better be improved.
if we are expected to swallow another overclocked, bandwidth-starved unit i've got till summer at the least.
