First off, I'm not an audio person. If nothing else, I hope to learn some of the current terminology from this thread, you know so I can better search on my own.
Basically right now I have a USB audio board (Philips) that feeds a cheap 5.1 speaker system (Creative), through the colored 3 mini-plugs (not optical or anything like that). I like this system except that the Philips USB gizmo often crashes and needs to be power-cycled, and also my mac mini's USB ports are packed (5 devices) and I'd rather have fewer wires if possible.
So is there a wireless adapter (bluetooth or otherwise) that can work with my existing speakers? Otherwise, what other gizmos should I be looking at? I find that I don't even know where to start with this stuff.
