Because my employer saw fit to block MacNN, and since I did most of my moderating from work, and due to the fact that I have precious little free time and I'd hate to squander it trying to keep you pack of savages in line, I'm giving up the lofty title of moderator. I hope my successor treats you lot with the same courtesy and respect that I have (HA! ), and off course, you show him (or her ) the same courtesy and respect you've shown me (HA! ) . It's been fun kids (sometimes), but it's time to move along.

I'm very much looking forward to going into the political lounge as a regular old member and seeing how long it takes to get my ass banned from this joint

Carry on

Good deal. I'm sure you'll miss it at first. But, being on this side of the fence has its advantages that I'm sure you'll embrace.

Oh, and you're missing an "lol" after "her:"

show him (or her)

Damn rude of your employer that. Although my employer should really start thinking about doing that to me.

Your employer sucks.

Move down to West Palm Beach, ThinkInsane, and get a job that lets you sleep half the time and do what you want like the rest of Floridians!

Glad you're not leaving us for good. No matter what title you hold or don't hold, you're the very best, ThinkInsane.

[liberal]You are a complete arse[/liberal]]

But you were always consistent and willing to jump into the 'breach'. Even though I do not agree with your views, I always thought you were fair.

Think of all the good thinks you can do with your spare time. Cure for cancer? World peace?

And I give you a month on the bannination front.

Enjoy your 'freedom'

My employer could care less what I do during the day.

As long as all the work gets turned in on time.

And 99% of the time, it gets turned in early.

He once came in my office, saw some web page up that had nothing to do with work, looked at me and said "You're Fired!" in the most serious face.

The started laughing and left the office.

I think it was one of those xanax days for him.

I work for myself.

1) what on the good green earth sort of employer to you work for?
¿Snoops on you all the time? ¿Monitors your browser history?

-or-

2) How much time *did* you spend here?

-or-

3) Did people walk by your cubicle and always see the Hot Babes thread on your monitor?

[Praise be self-employment.]

on the one hand, that sucks, on the other, hey more free time.

my work blocks lots of things, but luckily not macnn. Most obnoxiously, they block free imagehosting sites like flickr and photobucket, so I can't see images for the most part. :/ Oh, and anything that might be NSFW, which is fine when it actually is NSFW, but when they get it wrong... PITA.

Their reasons? something about servers and bandwidth, blah de blah...

Now we see the birth of a power struggle to become moderators of the Macnn forum. When a leader falls, others fight to take over.
