When I get the authentication box I just type in the Username and password of the user on the OSX Server however it is asking for a Domain as well. What domain do I use. It is a standalone OS X file server(10.2) in the WORKGROUP workgroup. How do I avoid the domain authentication part?

have you tried leaving domain blank? More than likely, if you don't already know what the domain is, you aren't logging in to a domain.
