Ok go figure this: 9600/PT24Mix/Adaptec. When I use (latest) FWB/Hammer drivers on the external drives on the Adaptec (Quantum/IBM), they won't mount @ startup.
When I install the Apple drivers (OS8.5) on the ext. drives, so that they're identical to the internal drive, Jam & Toast won't burn audio (..!?) from external drives, but will, if you copy them to the internal drive. I know it's best to have FWB on both drives, but than the internal drive has to be inited...
I've had it with these kind of issues, since I don't understand what's happening and it seems completely random: on some configurations it works, on others it doesn't and the problems are also different.
Is anyone experienced with this ? Any cracks that know the 'right combination' ?
