reference:
macbookpro running 10.5.4 + hp deskjet 990c printer + TrendNet te100-p2u1p print server.
ethernet hardwire home network

on the macbookpro, in a vmware virtual XP environment i can print to the hp deskjet 990c just fine.

macbookpro, in osx10.5.4 i can see the same print server that the virtual XP had. using appletalk i can get one page of garbled text and 5-6 blank pages.

i have both driver sets loaded, both behave the same as above.
gutenpront-5.2.0-beta4
Gutenprint v5.1.3

TrendNet support was saying saying their printserver supports osx for those native postscript printers. the hp deskjet 990c is probably not PostScript but would you not think the drivers would resolve the issue?

thanks everyone!

Not a native postscript printer -> no support for OS X via the TrendNet thing.
