Base iMacs are i3 now, I hope the i series makes its way to the mini soon, but it will probably be 6 months minimum before they update it again.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

With the new iMacs starting at $1199 and the macbooks starting at $999, the $699 mac mini is getting less attractive.

The lowest-end iMac has a better CPU, better graphics card, more memory, 21.5" LCD screen, keyboard, magic mouse, larger hard drive.

Unfortunately iMacs only come with a glossy display, a HUGE shortcoming for anyone dealing with images work.

Mini's pricing leaves the white Macbook as the only value Mac.

Yes, it's pretty glossy because I just bought one.

I also notice the iMac screen seems have cooler colors than my other monitors which tend be slightly yellowish or warmer colors. The iMac screen is more on the bluish side.

I still don't know if I like the warmer colors or cooler colors. My iMac just makes my other monitor look so yellowish. Something I never notice before.

I'm really like the iMac screen though, even though it's really glossy.

Most screens, even apple's, really need to be calibrated out of the box.

WOW! Chill out people. there was a time that there was not mini and a computer cost real $$$$ and we were not talking GHz we were talking MHz.

It has HDMI

You can now access the ram yourself

Either buy one or not - there is a place for it in the line of computers from Apple. Yes we all want a big mini or a mini pro but there is not one. That is what the iMacs are in the line up for ...
Mac Pro - 12 GB RAM - 30" & 23" Displays - 10.7.1
MacBook Pro - 2 GB RAM - 10.6.8
Airport Extreme • Canon iPF5000 • PIXMA Pro9000 • Xerox N2125
