My Mac OS X Mail app has been quite nice up until about two weeks ago.

But now, after successfully launching the app, everything appears fine.

Then when I start viewing messages, the app crashes.

A lot!

In entourage, I can rebuild the mail database.

But I can figure out how to do this in Mail.

Any advice.

i have had something like that happen to me, too. i would suggest you do three things:
1 repair permissions
2 run disk warrior
3 rebuild the mailboxes; select a mailbox in the slide out drawer and from the 'mailbox' menubar menu select rebuild mailbox, then repeat with any or all mailboxes troubling you.

hope this helps.

I must be blind.

I did not notice that command before.

I did check everywhere inaddition to mail help.

Thanks.

I also moved all of my old mail from the mail fold into a new created folder.

This seemed to help also. No crashed since then.
