Need to buy a new camcorder.

Both Sony and Canon are coming out with new models for their DCR-TRVxx and ZR-xx lines.

They will be available over the next month or two.

Base on the two current series, my question is which series is most mac friendly?

Which series has the best hardware longevity (won't break in a year or so)????

AFAIK, I am the happy owner of a TRV33, and it works like a cheam with any Mac such as G5, PBTi15, .... It is a very user-friendly and compact video camera, with a good touch screen user interface.
It serves also as a MemoryStick reader when connected to the Mac via USB, very good stuff.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought the TRV-38 and it works great with my G5.
I love the touch screen and the large 3.5 lcd screen.

I have the ZR70MC and it works perfectly with my G4. I can capture analog video to tape or passthrough to my mac.
