I've been wanting to upgrade the ram in my 1.25 G4 iMac for a while now. I have seen some conflicting information floating around about 1GB limit. Does Apple/Ram Retailers literature say there is a 1GB limit because there is only 1 user accesable slot? or can the system only actually recognize 1GB? With prices on ram dropping, I wanted to open it up and throw a gig stick in it, in addition to the 512MB sodimm that I have in the user accessable slot. Has anyone actually done this? Are you running your G4 iMac with more than 1GB of ram? What kind of ram do I need to put in the "non-user accessable slot"??
waiting this long for a new 15 will drive
anyone insane
