originally threw this in a thread about another topic so i figured i'd make its own...

does anyones iPhone, when you talking to someone, and they say something loud get like a buzz in you ear? like when it's a loud sound the speaker sounds blary, sort of sounds like someones talking on a kazoo. it feels like i just got zapped! annoying!

not sure if its a speaker issue or the gsm buzz i've read about. i've only used cdma before. thanks

I've had the same thing happen a couple of times; it's not the GSM buzz that's causing it. I've always thought it was a spot where the cell signal was the weakest, such when at the bottom of a hill.

The GSM buzz is when your phone is to close to another electronic device, and the phone creates a audible buzz from the incoming cell signal. You'll know it once you hear it.
The Religious Right is neither.
