Out of all the Muppets, I'm guessing the Swedish Chef is the biggest Bjrk fan.

Umm Bork...Bork...Bork...Bjrk!!!

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

well, that is basically all it is.

The vocals are recorded extremely close-miked, which is why they sound so dense and full, and then compressed to hell (so is everything on the radio), which is why they sound so full and dense, and then run through some heavy equalizer adjustments. Some are distorted on the more rhythmic tracks.

The choirs are absolutely real.

The percussive voice parts: Have you ever heard a beat-box rapper? Sort of like that.

Yeah, on a couple of pieces, they're all chopped up and used as drum samples.

But they're pretty much just voices.

Doing impressions of synth noises.

Cool. It fixed a lot of other weird characters on this page too. Geeze, why didn't I think of it. Thanks.

You are not the only one who things that Bjrk is annoying and talentless. But to claim "she really can't sing" is just ridiculous. She's probably one of the more talented singers there is in music today(and ever since she started).

yaya. i hear the beat boxers (and when theyre cut up into drum samples), and the choirs are absolutely lovely. theres a bunch of other sounds on there that dont seem to be human at all. that are way too synth'd to the point that they could have started with any sound and ended up with the same thing.

You either like Bjork or you hate her .

However there are songs of hers I love, and others I could take or leave

I have some of her stuff. Some of the sugar cubes too.

Cool, I didn't know that! I never really 'investigated' anything about Vatnsenda Rsa... didn't even know it was a person. Although I don't completely get the entire poem, it seems very beautiful (could you help me with the meaning of the parts I bolded up there?)

Actually, a lot of those non-human-sounding things are pretty much untreated voices doing synth noises.

That non-voicey thing on "Ancestors" is in fact a piano, though.

I do see what you mean, though.

Yes

If someone can hook me up with that Icelander I'd like to also get in touch with Sigur Rs.
