how could i forget this one.. whoops.

The "Holiday 2000" Vogue issue - shopping deluxe fat packed consumer hell December issue - has a spread on Online Luxury Shopping. the article pertains to some drek about ordering a $900- sweater online, then the author becoming pissy and returning it. {*shock* the sweater wasn't worth $900- to the author.}

the article is accompanied by shots of anorexic girls in ill-fitting polyester clothing - exposed skin covered in vaseline, hair lank & greasy, eyes glassy & far focused - using a Cube & an iBook. {guess they'd been up all night online or something.}

i rather like the mink blanket...

oh, wheee, also -
this was somewhat noteworthy because the Cube was actually hooked up - i.e.: cables running to keyboard, mouse and monitor. the iBook also had cabling to periferials.

Boing,
~Ky
