I have a new Retina MBP (discrete GPU version) coming, and I have two 24" 1920x1200 IPS HP displays that have full-size DisplayPort and DVI. Can I run dual displays using two Mini DisplayPort to DVI or Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapters since the computer has dual Thunderbolt ports? If I ended up with a Thunderbolt dock that had a couple of Thunderbolt ports, could I also do the same? The tech pecs page isn't clear on these points. Thanks!

Okay, to be clear, you're saying one mini displayport adapter per thunderbolt channel, regardless of how it's set up. To complicate things further, if you have a dock with an additional thunderbolt port and a HDMI port, can you hang the mini displayport and HDMI off the same bus?
