9.2 won't let me view my TCP/IP settings

It says that it is locked, and or in use, this is right after starting up the system, and nothing is running...
any ideas?
also, my Firewire drive isn't showing up

Trash the TCP/IP Preferences file in System Folderreferences. Just so you know this will delete all your TCP settings, but will allow you to make new ones.

I can't help you with the FW drive problem, sorry.
