am waiting, patiently, for a 12" mbp.

in fact, i just bought a last-generation 12" powerbook instead of an mbp, or a macbook, because that's what i want; small, lite.

ah, rumors...

Oh, I thought your question was about something else. I was about to say a full 3 inches.

15" is definitely the sweet stop. Good size, large enough screen for productivity on the go, yet still extremely portable.

Agreed with volcano-- the more portable the better, but at some point, the smaller screen starts to hurt. 15" really strikes that balance (for me at least).

it IS great; less hot than my previous-gen 12" (by a lot); brighter screen (a little), bigger, faster hard drive, and a superdrive.

i can run all my apps (most importantly, logic rewired to reason, plus adobe suite, dreamweaver).

and it's a perfect size to carry around (or throw across the room )

i had to disable the motion sensor..! when i worked on music, the drive heads would sometimes park!

I'd love to get a 12 or 13 MBP if it ever came out.

If not then I will just get a 17" beast as the price diff between 15 and 17 with the specs I want is so small that i can live with the slightly larger footprint.

I was going to hold out for the 20" because I only use my computer in one place at home and think a bigger screen is better, but I want to always be able to grab it and go for a trip or if the world ends etc, and love the laptop keyboards over a 'normal' one, but finally couldn't wait another year and got a 17" and love it.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

I wish they would release a 20"!

I travel on the road and stay in hotels and only transport my laptop! I use to look up contract info and plans etc. The 17" is not too heavy, and I have a slingbox pro at home hooked to my Directv Tivo and I can watch and control from hotel room! I would love to see it on a 20" portable!
