I've taken the plunge and am now officially a Mac user. I just ordered the computer with internal Bluetooth + educational discount.
It's allllllllllll good .
Thanks all for making this decision so much fun

Thanks for the pics. That is one massive screen. I thought the same thing about my 17". That was until I seen the 20".
Just an observation from your pics. Does Apple have 2 types of pro keyboards? I was thinking that they changed the style recently. I had a 17" 1 GHz. I bought it just a couple days before the 1.25GHz came out. I went ahead and traded up to the 1.25GHz. The keyboard for my 1 GHz model was like yours and the one I have now has the USB on the rear instead of the sides. Also, it doesn't have the "swinging arm" to raise the keyboard. It is made just slightly raised. I thought I had seen the one I own at an Apple Store for sale.
Anybody know which one is the primary style Apple is using or do they sell both?

The k/b in the pictures looks to be the older type. I would have thought the 20" iMac would have come with the newer style

You are all very observant
I bought the old 17"/15" iMac Keyboard and Pro Mouse about 6 months ago when I found out that Apple was shipping the junky eMac keyboard with the iMacs now.

re: worth it? -- yes, it's a great screen. worried about damage? get applecare (always a good idea with any LCD product where the LCD replacement cost is $$$ -- think powerbooks/ibooks and LCD iMacs).
i was about 3 weeks away from ordering a 20" imac, but a 1.8 G5 (discontinued model) became available at a great price, so now i'll have to save up for the 20" LCD (or perhaps a pair ;-)
