Apple has changed the lead ship times for the iPad on their online store to 7 to 10 business days.
Any indications on the reason behind this?

Ordered one (WiFi only) last Saturday, still says "ships in 5-7 business days" on the status page.

I believe that dates being pushed back started today. I have also heard of the Apple store reservations not being 2 to 4 days as quoted.

FWIW
I'm down in WA from Vancouver BC for the week.
Rather then engaging the whole system I informally gave my email address to a store sales rep and he emailed me two days later to report stock was in. I grabbed one and they were all gone within a few hours. My co-workers did the same in Vegas with success.

My iPad shipped just after the 5th business day after I ordered it. with an expected delivery date 5 calendar days later-the 20th of this month.
