I wouldn't be surprised if a Halo 3 PC version never materializes, with GoW2 already confirmed not going PC i think Microsoft is trying to stick with the 360 for exclusive titles to drive sales.

The PC version of Halo 3 will come out around the same time as Half Life 2 for the Mac.
Which is never.

Well then, do I have a deal for you!
Fatty's Halo 3 School
For just $99.95 I'll teach you everything you need to become a Brigadier!* Fall Semester registration begins today!
Classes are as follows:
'Nade 101 - Basic 'nade primer course. What are 'nades? Where do I find them? What do they do?
Frantic Jumping 101 - Highlights frequent use of the 'A' button.
Sniping 101 - Hand exercises for quick reflexes. Camping skills. Betrayal lecture for when n00bs steal your rifle.
Advanced Halo Etiquette 205 - Covers trash-talking, teabagging, 'your mother' jokes, racist comments, incoherent screaming and/or obnoxious indecipherable rap music.
Battle-Rifle 310 - Advanced theory of Halo 3's super-weapon. Covers tactics like strafing, jumping, jump-strafing, and remaining still. Focus on headshots.
Running Away 500 - Learn how to trick your enemies with cowardice. 100-page thesis due. Prerequisites (BR 301, 'Nade 101)
*Actual rank achieved may vary, Fatty holds no responsibility if you are a 'n00b' and can't use the BR worth a damn.

That reminds me, in one of the pre-game lobbies Friday night, some douche was talking so loudly I muted him and still faintly heard him over some other dude's mic.

Well, I finally got my Live Gold subscription, yesterday. Got into a Halo training match through the matchmaking and got slaughtered in 2 deathmatch games. I swear the winner doesn't need any more "training" as he had 25 kills to my 6 or 7. I think he was aptly named too - "Lurker" something or other. Lurking to kill us trainees. Ho well, I did have fun. Eventually I'll have to find a team CTF or team oddball game once I practice a bit more.
I used to have fun in Halo 1 on the Mac driving the Warthogs. I used to be good enough to slide the Warthog in just right on the CTF Blood Gulch map to be right beside the base door. But I'm a bit rusty and I've got to get used to the console controls yet.

Having loads of fun this weekend with Double EXP point for 3 Ball Oddball. Made it to Sergeant already. Gotta improve my skill level though. Still haven't perfected the melee, or the shoot enough to melee. Half the time, we both kill each other... I'd like to survive.

The system is set-up in such a matter that the dual-death is the most likely outcome.

Or accordingto Stogieman's Halo 3 Myth link #1, I've go to melee a person's right shoulder, which assinates them. Ie. if you attack them from their right (rather than from the front or left), you have a chance of assinating them. Interesting.

I'm getting better. I'm starting to learn what I'm good at (double plasma rifles, double brute spikers, melee), and what I'm not good at (battle rifle).

You say you're no good with the BR, but it's your #2 weapon.

Fun fact – let's say a Plasma Rifle does 20 pts of damage; Once you equip a second one, the pair only does 30 pts of damage – 15 each.
bungie crippled two-handed fighting in the game, which is why you almost never see it outside the lower ranks.

That's mainly because I've only found out in the last couple of days that I'm better at the double weapons than the battle rifle, the battle rifle is more popular (it's given to you in alot of maps), and in some maps it's hard to find two handed weapons (the two weapons are separated by some distance). As well, I tend to use the two weapons until I get close, and then melee, the guy, so some of the two-handed weapon kills are under the melee, in a way. At first I kept on trying to use the BR and get better at it. It used to be my #1 weapon.
It's interesting to hear that you don't get the full strength of both weapons when you have two. Thanks for the info.
It's kinda strange they added the achievements for the Mythic maps already, but I guess they just decided to add all the updates in one update.
Also had that "Your NAT is not open" message presented to me and fixed it. Put my Xbox 360's IP in my router's DMZ.

My take: The BR is so badass that even if you suck at it you'll get most of your kills with it.
Stick with it, dual-wielding power has been GREATLY reduced in H3. In Halo 2 it was a different ballgame.

Nah. Halo 3 PC will just release as a Windows 7 exclusive alongside its release in 2010.

Ahh, my favorite Double EXP playlist ever.
Played a sweet game of Braaaaains! on a Foundry map called "Haunted Manor"
View of the Manor from the Zombie spawning location.
Safest place in any zombie outbreak is the roof.
Like all good zombie attacks, even the safest place becomes death city.
