I just configured a new Mac Pro and it seems that the price has increased since yesterday. Can someone confirm this?

Can you be more specific? Any particular parts you had in mind? Just the general base price?

Edit: I just checked, and they've actually decreased the price on most upgrades by $1. In addition, they've lowered the price of the 500GB drive upgrade, and added the ability to configure the computer with 4 750GB drives at $599 each.

Most interesting.

I think you are right. I spec'd out the following:

2.66
1900XT
2GB RAM
BT
BT keyboard and mighty mouse

It is actually cheaper. It just looked strange and for some reason I thought the price had went up.

It's not cheaper by much, but yes, it is cheaper. Go Apple!

has the quadro 4500 always been a GFX option on these machines? I thought the x1600 was the top card you could have in a MP...

The X1600 is the top card in an iMac or MacBook Pro. The top card in the Mac Pro has always been an X1900XT or the workstation card the Quadro 4500.

Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better. For most users the X1900XT is the better card.
