Maybe 30 or 40 over the few years it's been around.

Seattle has great independent music stores, and most of them can provide the full album for $12 or $13. I'd rather pay a couple bucks more to get the CD, and printed matter. Sometimes if the CD is $16 or $17 I'll get it online.

damn, i had no idea it was that high, but i have only bought about 3 actual cds since the music store opened. i always end up ripping the cd and then losing it, so buying it off the store works perfectly for me.

That said, I'm hovering in the 60-ish range...so not too many.

I've bought 8 tracks - all of which are iTunes exclusives. The only problem with iTMS as I see it is the sound quality.

Just shy of 150. I'll be buying more though. I bought 100 bucks worth at Christmas. Then I bought about two in march. Then I've bought two in the last two weeks. I'll pobably start averaging an album every week and a half. David needs new music for the gym.

A single when it was released (Nirvana single they slapped a albums worth of repeat songs around)
A Bad Religion album I could not find anywhere.
Didn't pay for it but I got a song from a Mt Dew bottle.

so around 14-28 songs I guess, for $11 out of my pocket.

Yep. The mp3 playback on 4 is mushy and less detailed than on 3. I believe Apple nobbled this intentionally to make their own format sound better (and thus prompt everyone to move onto the rights-managed format in time for the launch of iTMS).

Well, I burn all my stuff at AAC 320, so no problem here. Oh yeah…there's a diff between the AAC format and the protected iTMS ones.

Benign is just pretentious.
