So, I'm changing quite a few elements of Gia Mia for 10.3. I dub this new version Gia Mia RX (the RX is for remix) and I want some feedback before I start putting the images into themepark.

Here's what I've got so far:

Post feedback here. I hope to have this baby done in time for Christmas.

Wow, nice. But would the widgets look like that or would it change to match the color of the rest of the theme?

Great theme. Love what you've done with it

Updated preview in initial post.

Also, here are the finalized widgets. Top 2 are blue & blue rollover. Bottom 2 are graphite & rollover.

Don't like the title bar. Maybe it's due to the lack of a stroke or something.

The widgets could use something else too (stroke again?).

Looks nice though.

I absolutely love everything about the theme, except for the white bar where the text goes in the titlebar. Perhaps it takes too much horizontal space, or needs to be subdued? Not sure.

Anyhow, great work! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

You're themes are getting better every time, don't like the title bar though ( try reversing the gradient so it matches the other gradients ). The theme could also use sharper looking radio and selection boxes...

I agree with kovacs, turn the gradient upside down in your title bar and you'll have a winner.

Me likes alot

Are you still considering doing Crossover?

Actually, yeah I have. But, if you look, Gia Mia RX contains some elements from Crossover.

Well, I made a new titlebar, and updated the checkbox/radio buttons, as well as the titlebar widgets:

Round widgets:

The original titlebar/widgets will probably be included as an option.

I'll vote for "A".

My secondary vote goes to "C".

"B" doesn't look right IMO.

"A" without question but I think you can integrate the middle stretch arae a little better so it doesnt feel like its just sitting over the other artwork.

This may be the classiest theme I've seen so far. It's got a kind of european high-fashion chic about it. Beautiful.

A will be the standard, but I'll include a hack for "C".... theres no "B" because it was fugly.

Not saying a release date, I'm busy and can't commit right now.

Looks fantastic. The only thing I see wrong is the slider arrow looks kinda jagged and rounded and out of place compared with the perfection of the rest of the theme. Go for it! Looks GREAT!

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Just seen (what I hope is) the old version of this on Xthemes.net. I have to say, I looks so much nicer now judging by what I've seen posted on this thread so far. Is that old titlebar the "fugly" option B that you have now abandoned? I agree option A is much much nicer. The widgets now look much nicer too. More conventional, but with a sharp, clean sophisticated touch. The new version presumably is a GUIkit right? Or an SS compatible dlta? Any idea of a release date for that?

Oh god, I hope that one on Xthemes IS old, and I haven't just slagged off the finished product!!

That's the original Gia Mia, circa early 2003. Yeah, it stinks, and ples in comparison to the new RX. I've done some more tweaking of the look, but expect the final version to closely resemble what is in this thread.

if you dont bring that white part in the title bar closer to the right edge the type will overlap the grey/blue part.

I have been busy with XThemes and school, I'm sorry. I am not going to set a solid release date, because if i miss it I won't hear the end of it.

So, to summarize-- it'll be here when it gets here, but I promise you the latest you will see it is around May/June, but I highly doubt it will be that long, more likely in the next couple of months. Until them, I'm porting the original Gia Mia to 10.3. That will be out very soon.

On another, somewhat related note, I don't know if anyone but FB Eye noticed this, but, Crossover + Gia Mia = Gia Mia RX. So what about the original crossover? It might see the light of day as something else.

Sure, I'd like to see Crossover make it some day as a full Guikit... I might be the only one tho, since I have a special connection with this thing
