Graphics issues on new MacBook

Hello,
I have some problems on a new MacBook (not MacBook Pro). There are some problems in InDesign and in iMovie. In InDesign, I can switch from CPU preview to GPU preview, or the other way around, then it works. Is it a software problem? Is there a fix?
It's the latest version of macOS and the Creative Cloud apps.
Greetings,
PeterParker

What exactly are the issues you are experiencing?

Hello,
in InDesign, there are issues like images not being entirely displayed.
In iMovie, sometimes, not all film clips are shown - when you scroll, they start to appear.
Other than that, I didn't notice any graphics problems. The store here in the city made a hardware check and said it was okay.
Any ideas?
Greetings,
PeterParker

Which MBP do you have? The CPU/GPU/VRAM hardware may be choke point for the display.
Adobe isn’t particularly conservative with system requirements for any of their apps, though InDesign isn’t really a resource hog. With that said, they do aim pretty high with all of their apps.

He has a MacBook not a MacBook Pro. The MacBooks graphics are wildly usuboptimal for creative work. Although to be fair to the MacBook, Photoshop etc are more RAM hungry than GPU intensive. It doesn't take a lot of work to display a static image on the screen.

I misread his post, and thus my ideas are off the mark.
