Hopefully this will sum up a future thread so it won't have to happen:

HL2 source code stolen...
---
That sucks..
---
That's great, now we can get it for sure...
---
No way, man, piracy stinks...
---
Serves Sierra right for not releasing HL1...
---
I heard there's still a possibility for HL1...
---
Who cares, I'm DLing HL2 now and will port it over the weekend...
---
Where can I find it...
---
Shut up, piracy is bad...
---
How long do you think it will take for a port...
---
What kind of requirements will it have...
---
Talking about stolen code is inappropriate...
---
Blow it out your @zz, HL2 rules!
---
I'm playing it now, it runs OK on my Blueberry iMac...
---
Liar...
---
MACs suck for gaming anyway, MS rules...
---
That's Mac you PC-lovin' troll...
---
My duel G5 beats your lowly Pentium...
---
My duelling banjos beats your DUAL, dweeb...
---
What's HL2...
---
Where have you been...
---
You can DL the source here...
---
LOCKED, DELETED.

Hopefully I've saved the world some grief.

EDIT
Too late; already raging in the lounge. A perfect example why I don't go there anymore. Feel free to delete.

I think you managed to sum up quite a few of the key points in MacNN arguments. Good good.

On another note. Source code stolen? As much as that sucks, it's kinda strange how there have been so many security breaches lately... SSH, sendmail, RPC exploit 1, RPC exploit 2, RPC exploit 3, etc...

When will it end? When will we be safe from script kiddies?

CNET has a good article on this subject. One concern they raise is the possibility of increased vulnerability to attack that online players now may come under. With people having the source code, they could figure out ways to manipulate the game and compromise computers playing it online.

When everyone switches to a mac. Microsoft has caused all of these problems themselves. They have no one else to blame.
