I have a spare LCD screen for my 12" Powerbook, my friend has been without an LCD for his 12" iBook g4 for sometime now, can I get the screen out of the frame, first of all, and how... And second of all, can I put this bare LCD into the frame of the iBook, and hook it up to the iBook, I checked iFix it, and they give me the basic things I would need to know for transferring the screens, but nothing on taking the bare LCD out of the frame.

By frame I mean the part of the case with the apple logo on the front.

Thanks.

It should be compatible. Is your spare PB screen in a case, or just a panel?

Getting the iBook G4 screen open is as simple as removing the four screws from around the sides, and gently prying the white cover off. I think for the PB, you need to remove the screws down the bottom and the back of it should come off in a similar way to the iBook.
