This might end up being in the wrong forum because it covers a couple different bases but...

I ran the Apple Hardware Test on my G5 today and received this error:

2STF/8/3:A (upper)

Figuring that this meant I have a problem with the HDD installed in the upper SATA bay, I ran a disk verification in Disk Utility but found no problems.

Can anyone tell me what this means exactly? I can't find a definition for it on the web.

The original reason why I ran the hardware test is because my G5 has started periodically losing its internet connection. The Network pref pane will say that I'm connected and show me that I have an IP address but I won't be able to actually connect to the web in any way. If I reboot, the problem goes away, though it doesn't go away if I just log out then in again. It also doesn't go away if I log in as a different user.

Any chance these two things are connected?
