Gas here in SLC just fell below $2.00. It's been on a fairly steady decline for the past week or two. I was just curious what everyone else's gas was doing... more so, what's the cause.

Oh Yes, for those who don't live under an antiquated measurement system:
is Gas less than $2.00/$2.38(Can)/1.52(Eur)/ 3.78 Litres

$2.59 to $2.89 depending on the station. If you drive for 20 minutes, you can get it for $2.39. Because 10 miles of road makes the gass 50 cents more expensive.

In the meantime, $2.50/gal here is considered to be cheap.

It's been low recently - right before the Super Bowl, Indy and surrounding areas was down to like $2.0. However, this week, it's slowly climbed and was at $2.34 in Columbus (Indiana, not Ohio) after work today.

I remember when Indy broke the "no-changing-prices-during-the-day" unspoken barrier. I was in high school, and for the first time ever, prices were changing in the middle of the day to make as much profit as possible during morning and afternoon rush hour.

Then again, I also remember seeing gas go down to 89 cents a gallon in 2001 or so and yelling "whoo-hoo!" on my route home from school.

I think it's hovering between $2.50 and $2.80 here, haven't been to a gas station this week. Cheapest I've seen in in recent memory (last 6 month at least) is $2.30.

$1.96/gal last time I filled up. It's creeping up a bit but most places are still at or below $1.99.

$1.81 in mid-January, up to $2.25 at the end of the month, and $2.17 three days ago. I almost always fill up at the same station, in Wixom, MI, about 30 miles northeast of Detroit.

$2.60 here, but I don't envy Salt Lake City's air pollution.

I got some for $1.95 in Jersey last week, but it is around $2.35 by me in long island. I drive a minimum of 200 miles a week too so I'm not overly thrilled.

Yeah, but you can travel across your whole COUNTRY on a few gallons, so there is quite a difference. Some people drive further to work every day than you would drive to visit another country.

I'm not saying that it isn't expensive, just saying that you don't feel it as much as Americans do.

I never thought of that before. That's a good point.

Right now? I've seen it at 1.99 at almost every other gas station here in town. A few places down on campus that are always higher are hovering around 2.09, but I think that's the higher end of our local gas price range. Although I did encounter some 2.14/2.15 out in Westlake a day or two ago.

$1.96 up the road from me.

Funny I was told many times it would NEVER get below $2 again EVER.

It has many times this year.

We're around $2.13 now. It wouldn't be this good if it hadn't been for the mild winter so far.

Funny. Our gas was around $1.87/gal here and recently spiked back up to $2.35/gal for no reason.
