Hey guys,
for those in Australia know today is the Melbourne cup, the race that stops the nation and gives everybody to dress up in formal and get smashed on campaign 
My office always has a sweep but we don't get to pick the horses we want, just get to pull them out of a hat.
I wanted 'Purple Moon' but ended up with 'Sirmione' 'Tungsten Strike' 'Railings'. Anyway wish me luck 
Anyone else got their bets on? Must have cause today they say $160 million is being gambled.

The real winners are everyone in VIC and ACT who get the day off.
Don't expect to get any decent replies from here, the Melbourne cup is practically unknown outside Australia, the big races like the Kentucky Derby and the Grand National get a bit more worldwide recognition, average Grand National bets are in access of $550 Million per race!
Good lucky anyway and sorry you don't get the day off.
