Have you tried reinstalling the Boot Camp drivers from the OS disk that came with your machine?

I had a boatload of compatibility issues with Windows 7 and my MacBook Pro (same gen as yours) and drivers. I think we may have to wait until Apple officially updates Bootcamp for Windows 7.

They did, but there are still lots of compatibility issues, and you HAVE to have 10.6 installed, and the disc to do the update.
