Leaving for St. Louis tomorrow for the weekend.

Besides going to the Cardinals games, what should I do?

Got to the top of the arch and catch an inning; very cool view.

Check out an number of local steak/rib joints; the bbq is unique and his it's own style (compared to texas, chicago, kansas city, new york, etc).

Drink.

Who's going?

Kids? The STL Zoo is very nice, but it's supposed to be miserably hot and muggy tomorrow, but the weekend may cool down some. If it's hot, the STL Science Center is great for kids and air conditioned for the adults. There's also the STL City Museum which is a kids' type museum that's kinda funky/urban in its theme. The Magic House is also one of the big kids attractions.

The Cardinals game is a must, but the games have been selling out every night because it's the last season at Busch, so I hope you already have tickets. There are usually some scalpers at the stadium that aren't too bad once the game starts. You can also check stlcardinals.com and find the "Prime Seat" tickets, these are season ticket holders who sell their seats, and the prices aren't too bad. (If they haven't already been sold out)

Adult stuff. Well...there are 2 Apple stores in STL. Take a tour of Anheuser-Busch Brewery. You get free beer after the tour. (MMMMM...free beer.. droooool...) Check out Laclede's landing by the river. Good food and drink down there. "The Hill" has some great Italian restaurants. There's some great music coming into town this weekend - Live at the Levee - with Macy Gray, Blues Traveler, & Collective Soul.

Also right across the river is a placed called Sauget, IL... ask a few people in STL what places to visit down there.

What kind of stuff do you want to do? St. Louis has most of the same stuff that most other cities have, only it's never quite as good.

Going up in the Arch really isn't that much fun. I would suggest skipping it honestly. I would highly recommend going to the City Museum. That place is cool as hell.

I should have been more specific.

Yeah, no kids. Just going down with friends and drinking. Any great bars?

I'd second the Budwieser tour, its a free tour of a cool facility, you get to see the Clydsdales, plus free beer at the end

Schlafly's is good. Also, you might go to O'Connell's on Kingshighway and Shaw near the Hill. Great old bar. Avoid Union Station. Bookstores, bars, and shops near Kingshighway north to McPherson in the Central West End -- just off Forest Park on Euclid around Barnes Hospital (can't miss it). Kopperman's Deli and Zoe (pan-Asian food) around there are good.

I'm going to the Giants game on Saturday -- only about 18 games left in the regular season before they blow up Busch Stadium.
