EDIT: ASKING PRICE LOWERED TO $850

specs:
14 inch
1.33 GHz
768 MB (I'm including a 512 MB notebook memory module to be added to the 256 MB built-in)
80 GB ATA HD
Combo Drive
Airport

also included:
iSkin keyboard protector
Targus iBook sleeve (brand new)
Belkin Busines laptop bag (brand new)
MS Office (installation discs, manuals, all original packaging)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This machine is in like new condition. I've never modified any hardware (I never added the 512mb memory module that I'm including). The iSkin keyboard protector has always been used so the keyboard is in mint condition. I've always used a USB mouse with it so the trackpad is also in mint condition. This system has never left my desk so there is minimal scratches on the outside if any. The screen is perfect: no scratches, no dead pixels.
I've only used this system for some Excel work and watching DVD's.

I can send you more specs and information and/or pictures if requested. I still have all the original packaging, documentation, and cables.

Reply here, or shoot me a PM if you are interested! I'm asking for something in the range $950 (EDIT: PRICE LOWERED TO $850) for everything but I'm flexible. And you don't have to buy all the extra accessories I'm including, let me know if you want to modify the deal/price. The buyer will be responsible for insured shipping costs. I hope you're interested!!!

-James

I can pay 800 for the computer. If you want to include extras, awesome! If not, I understand.

Does this system have built in Airport Express or Bluetooth?? Is the ComboDrive upgradeable to a SuperDrive? What is typical battery life like?

The computer has Airport. It probably does not have Bluetooth. The ComboDrive is upgradeable at an authorized Apple Repair location for a few hundred. Doing it yourself is also possible if you have all of the parts. Battery life should be 4 to 5 hours.

Yes, that is all true. It has airport but not bluetooth. The Combo drive is upgradable at any Apple Repair Center. The battery is still in very good condition, like I said, the system has rarely left my desk so I've not worn the battery much at all.

I would be willing to buy the laptop if you accept a partial trade? I got a $100 Gift Card and $70 in Reward Zone Vouchers @ Best Buy that I am trying to get rid of. I would pay the rest in cash. If this works for you let me know!

Hmm, I'm not sure about gift cards and vouchers. Maybe if you upped it to $900. Send me a PM maybe we can work something out.

If none of these offers go though I might be interested in just the RAM if you're willing to part that out...

As requested, here are some pictures of everything:

FYI: I'm estimate shipping costs for two packages (the original ibook box and another box with all the extras) to be approximately $25. I'd much rather send everything INSURED which would approximately be $20 more. But I'm willing to negotiate that also. Thanks.

Very Interested and sent you a private p.m. I have 4 questions:

1. What is the model no. The model I think this is says it has 60 gig hard drive but yours says 80 so I want to know which one it is.

2. Is there bluetooth built-in?

3. When was it purchased and do you have the original receipts to send with it?

4. MS Office 2004: Can I register it in my name?

Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

1. Yes, the original ibook is 60gb but I custom upgraded it to 80gb when I made the purchase online. The model number on the box says A1055.

2. No bluetooth.

3. Purchased in Dec 04. I never received original reciepts for it because it was an online order. I still do have the email invoices that were sent to me and can forward them to you.

4. I don't recall ever registering it in my name. I'm not sure how that works.

Sent you an email.

Not under applecare, but still can be purchased.

$850 sounds resonable to me without the belkin bag.

It burns CDs but not DVDs.

FYI, if people keep bailing on deals I make with them I'm just gonna put everything up on ebay.

What kind of price can you do for the base machine without:

iSkin keyboard protector
Targus iBook sleeve (brand new)
Belkin Busines laptop bag (brand new)
MS Office (installation discs, manuals, all original packaging)

Also do you do PayPal?

I'm really trying to sell everything together. Don't think I'll ever need a laptop in the near future. But yes I do prefer PayPal. If I were to sell the ibook alone, maybe $800 plus any shipping costs.

Is there still a problem with the ram in this iBook ?

Nope, my old 512 mb was giving me problems. I got rid of that long ago. The 512 mb that is included in this sale was never used in this machine. The ibook's been running on its built in 256 mb. It is running "stock", nothing modified.
