Can this be done? I would like to wall mount it someday safely, but I don't want to be the first to try and kill my wall and iMac . Thanks. I don't care if it looks a little ugly, it just has to be functional.

I belive so, not 100% sure though. That is one thing ii wish my iMac had, Vesa Mount. I would mount it on the wall and it would be amazing. Im actually considering getting a VESA stand for my dell monitor thaty im getting. Im spanning from my Imac to the dell monitor, aperture sweetness!

If it is a rev A G5, I believe that they are wall mountable using a VESA unit plus an adapter from Apple.

The 24" comes mountable from the factory... no G5s did.

Your link was dead, but I managed to find the adaptor. Looks like it will work. Maybe I'll try that. Anyone else know of another way though?

Incorrect. The very first G5 iMac (without iSight) had VESA mount capability. This was one feature that was removed when the iSight models were introduced.

Sorry about that - forgot that the Apple Store doesn't do permalinks.
