I wanted to mention that I just had to have Apple replace both of my power supplies, as the cable, where it connects to the end that plugs into the iBook, was sparking. I've had the two iBooks for different lengths of time, but I just noticed it in both of them. The sparking blackens the inside of the transparent cable, so it's easy to determine if yours is conking out too :-)

I have a similar problem with my iBook adapter. With mine, the plug that goes into the wall sparks a lot. Do you know if that's normal or wheter it needs to be fixed?

Thanks.

Can't be helped as the new Macs don't have real power buttons. You could of course turn it off at the mains...
Happens every time I have to unplug/replug an iMac. Never had any probs with them afterwards though.
